I spent most of the day at home working in my home office. As usual, I got a ton done because there was no one here to bother me. I decided to tackle my garage for it’s bi-monthly de-cluttering. I can’t believe how much crap I can accumulate in two short months. It also saddens me to take out all these papers to the recycle bin because I know that I am not going to use them ever. But, that’s what I did; I filled up the recycle bin. The goal of an orderly gargage was achieved. The only daunting figure is the nine boxes of sweatshirts I have no idea what I am going to do . I think I’ll just bite the bullet and donate them. At least I get the tax write off.
Tonight I spent the evening checking out the housing market again. I always like to keep my eye out there for a house I might want to buy. Chico has fared well given this nasty real estate market. Values of homes have not dropped much since last year. In addition, there aren’t many foreclosures in the area. So, this isn’t much a buyers market as it in Yuba City or Sacramento. But I shouldn’t be surprised. Chico is and always will be unique to anywhere in N. Ca. As my friend told me, Chico is the oasis in the valley. I couldn’t agree more.
